Education New Zealand ceases operation of agency programme
Education New Zealand has decided to discontinue its agency recognition program, ENZRA. The program was reviewed and consultations highlighted that it did not provide tangible benefits to both educators and agents. ENZ will now focus on expanding supports for a wider field of agents in the future.
The review found that many successful agents did not see the value in joining the ENZRA program. It also did not meet the needs of emerging education consultants and organizations, as well as New Zealand education providers. As a result, it was clear that the existing program was not suitable for the changing environment.
ENZRA was never intended to be a quality assurance program for education agents, and ENZ cannot provide this assurance. However, agents appreciated other supports provided by ENZ, such as the global staff network and the AgentLab online platform.
ENZ will relaunch the AgentLab platform this month and offer expanded webinar schedules and other supports to agents recruiting for New Zealand institutions and schools. The ENZRA logo and brand should be removed by recognized agencies, and ENZ will remove the ENZRA directory from the Study With New Zealand website.
